Our (Ipe) decking tiles have the same CFPA A 1 fire rating as concrete and steel. You can use decking tiles in barbeque areas without worry. Hardwoods of this density have extremely high fire ratings and will not burn easily. Every other hardwood product except for the Ipe tiles are Class B fire rated which is considered high.
